The Animal Orchestra is here to help kids learn their ABC’s! Every letter is “played” by a different member of the animal kingdom on instruments and with sounds from around the world. For example, “T is for TURTLE tooting his TUBA. It’s also for teapot, tulips, and truck.” The final page shows all of the animals playing together.
As far as alphabet books go, The ABC Animal Orchestra is a must-have. For one, the design and layout of the pages are wonderfully organized, with each letter featuring a different color and bolded key words that the reader can then search for in the picture above. Also, the illustrations are extremely well-done, colorful, entertaining, and delightfully detailed. Not only can a child learn the ABC’s from this book, but it will help expand their vocabulary about animals, instruments, and other objects (every letter includes four or five words). Even for those who don’t know or recognize all the creatures and objects in this book, it would still be fun to look through the pictures to see what’s happening on each page, and the quantity and quality of words would at least help them be familiar with letters and sounds. Adults and children will not be disappointed in this well-designed, creative, and beautifully illustrated ABC book.
