This book shows you lambs in all kinds of conditions, with all sorts of personalities, and engaged in all types of activities! Whether they’re happy or grumpy, sitting or standing, on the phone or all alone, these lambs are irresistibly cute and entertaining. This is a book without a plot but with lots of great words and a lot of fun to be had.
Lots of Lambs has everything a children’s book could ask for. First, the text contains bouncy rhythms, perfect rhymes, and a variety of very helpful and important words paired in opposites. Next, the illustrations are not only creative, colorful, detailed, delightful, and humorous, but every right page contains some sort of interactive pop-up part that makes the book all the more interesting for children. Pages are thick and durable, though of course the pop-up parts need to be handled with care to prevent damage. As the back cover states, this is “a touch, feel, flip, and fun book,” and would be an outstanding addition to a child’s collection.
