A little boy takes his dog for a walk and they see a lot of things in motion. There are things hopping, bending, marching, spinning, running, jumping, leaping, and sliding! The boy and his dog even make some new friends! Near the end of their walk, his dog runs after a cat and the boy has to chase him all the way home.
The illustrations in this book are good, but nothing about them is particularly unique or stunning. However, the illustrations are good at depicting movement which is the focus of the narration. It would be better if the actions were more obviously described. For example, the description of swinging is "up and out" and a jig is "wiggly, giggly." Most of the words are short and should be easy for early readers. The pace of the book is fast because of how few words there are per page, usually two to four words. Overall, it is a decent book but it could have been better.
