This is a stunningly illustrated non-fiction picture book about where animals live. The picture and images share facts about various mammals, fish, birds, and more. Each page has a general description that parents could use to read through the book quickly with younger readers. It also has more detailed information on the pages as well as in the back of the book, making it interesting to beginning and more advanced young readers as well.

Great for a classroom or home library, this book is a wonderful way to show animal pictures to toddlers. The short general facts about animals for preschool children are wonderful tools to discuss more about the animals with school-aged children for book reports and such. The illustrations are soft and appear to be done expertly in watercolor. Each watercolor is moderately detailed and shows an animal in its habitat and near its home. This book has a lot of applications which gives it an outstanding rating.
