And Two Boys Booed by Judith Viorst is a delightful story of a little boy excited to sing a song in his class talent show. However, as it gets closer and closer to his turn, he begins to get increasingly nervous. When it is his turn, he fumbles in the beginning, but manages to sing his song.
The illustrations by Sophie Blackhall are colorful and unique. The pages also have flaps to lift that help bring the story to life and make it an engaging and interactive read. This is a wonderful story to help teach any child who may be afraid to try something. It can also serve as a reminder that it’s okay to make mistakes in the beginning or struggle to get started. Children are often faced with encounters in front of their peers and this book can help teach kids how to handle those situations.
