Three little bear cubs tromp through the snow to Grandma's house to help with baking day. They help her measure ingredients and stir the batter. When the cake goes into the oven, they drink hot chocolate, learn grandma's songs, and draw pictures on the frosted windows. After the cake is done, they divide it in pieces, wrap the pieces in red bags, and tie on tags with ribbons to take the cake home on their trusty sled.
Told in rhyme, this little book is wonderfully illustrated. The colors and characters create a warm homey feeling as they dance around the kitchen together, gather by the fire, and enjoy the warmth of grandma's kitchen. The illustrations have a bit of Christmas in them with the red bags and tags, but it's a good book for a snuggle on any winter's day. This is a happy, warm and cozy little tale that shows how much grandmas love their little ones. Grandma may even be having more fun than her grandcubs!
