It seems only natural that a big belligerent bullfrog might become a bully who wants all of the pond, all of the lilies, and everything all for himself! But that's not fair! All of the other small creatures that he pushes out band together and push him out to a muddy pond that he can enjoy all by himself.
The illustrations are bright and humorous with a bilious bullying frog throwing his ample weight around. What holds the book back is the theme. It wasn't right for the frog to push everyone else away but it also isn't okay for the frog to be bullied out too. Bullying is always wrong and this book would be better with another solution other than the one presented.
