Every science experiment starts with a problem, and boy does Charlotte have a problem! She has a big family and there just isn’t enough space in their rabbit burrow. She is squished! Charlotte puts on her important safety gear, grabs her scientific equipment, and uses the scientific method to find a solution. She builds a rocket ship and goes to outer space, but it’s very lonely there! She forms a new hypothesis, returns to earth, and moves into her carrot rocket ship that she parks next to her family’s burrow, making a space of her very own!
Charlotte the Scientists is Squished is fictional story about a rabbit that puts the scientific method to the test with a question formed out of frustration, but a question nonetheless! It’s realistic in that scientists are always going back and forth in the scientific method! Rarely do they find solutions the first time through. Young readers will be motivated to look at their own problems and to seek a solution, perhaps even trying multiples times to find the right answer. This book will leave readers of all ages smiling and wanting to put the scientific method to the test!
