The world’s fascination with chocolate is not something new. It started a long time before the New World was discovered. Taking cacao from the Americas, Spaniards spread a chocolate obsession throughout Europe. Although chocolate was originally a beverage, over time it has turned into a confectionery treat. Currently, the world of chocolate is concerned with whether the cocoa beans are grown using fair trade.
Chocolate captures the reader’s attention by telling interesting and unknown facts about the incredible journey of chocolate. Included throughout the book are several recipes for chocolatey treats. These recipes add a fun element to the book, helping the reader to indulge fully in chocolate. One major issue with the text occurs every time there is the combination of "eh" in a word, such as in the word "shareholders" on page 114. This issue is minor and hardly affects the high quality of this book.
