A class learns all about firefighters on their field trip. Firefighters don't just fight fires. They help people who are in traffic accidents, trapped by floods, and who get hurt. Firefighters have special tools and equipment to help them with their job. They wear special clothing to keep them safe from fires, and they wear masks so they can breath in the smoke.

This is a very simple book about firefighters that is appropriate for very young children. The illustrations are all very clear and bright, with few words per page. There are question bubbles you may ask your child to check for comprehension and prompt discussion. There are also additional resources at the back of the book for other books, a website to visit, and additional information (more complex) about firefighters. Overall, there isn't anything that particularly stands out about this book. It is a solid introductory book about firefighters. However, there is no fire safety information, so if that is what you want, a better book would be more suitable.
