Every morning, Tickles the bunny awakens to find that her brothers and sisters have already left on an adventure without her. Thankfully, she has a new book to keep her company! The book teaches her many important life lessons, including never giving up, how to act and talk boldly, and how to think your way out of tricky places. As the sun sets, she calls for her siblings, realizing they still haven't returned. She goes searching for them and finds them trapped inside a log, with a huge rock blocking the exit. Using the lessons she learned in her book that day, Tickles is able to keep trying different ideas, never giving up, until she's able to free the other bunnies. From then on, her brothers and sisters always take her on their adventures!
This book teaches important life lessons in an imaginative and engaging way for kids! The concept of never giving up, trying new ideas, and helping others are illustrated, providing a great opportunity for adults to talk to children further about these topics. Additionally, the illustrations are beautiful, colorful, and soft, perhaps even reminiscent of the classic picture books for young children. However, the writing style itself was somewhat disjointed and lacking. Wonderful, important ideas were shared, but they could have been conveyed in a more descriptive, language-rich way. Overall, children and adults will enjoy this book that reminds them to never give up!
