A young girl wishes in her bed that she could be like the moon and do nothing. The moon responds with the many functions he/she performs. Each page has handwritten text that tells about the magic in the moon and also a typed fact about the moon and why the magic is real scientifically.
This is a dreamy little bedtime book about the moon. A single sentence spins some magic that is then balanced by a brief explanation of facts about our nearest stellar neighbor. The art is beautiful and fun, giving lovable character to our moon and planet. There is just a hint of wit and whimsy in each illustration and the facts that are presented are not everyday things one may already know. This little book is a winner, it will encourage children to look out the window a little differently at night.
