Duffy's day begins with a before-breakfast nap, then an after-breakfast nap…and you can imagine how the rest of the day goes. Duffy can be found napping on the couch, on people's laps, on his dog bowl, and more. The highlight of his day, besides eating and napping, is spending time with his friend and playing with other dogs at the park. By the end of the day, his friend reads him a book in bed and he realizes he doesn't even feel sleepy!
Children will adore Duffy and giggle at all his silly antics. It would be fun to take note of all the places he sleeps or how much time he spends thinking about food. This is a great book for a family that has pets and can relate to spending time with a dog all day. This would also be a good book to help encourage responsibility for a pet and help teach about pets' needs and wants and how we should treat them. Overall, this is a simple and entertaining read for young audiences.
