Mary McScary is a young girl who likes scaring everyone. She scares people and animals, but she can't seem to scare her cousin Harry. She tries every trick she can think of: snakes, spiders, a monster, even a hippo. But nothing works. Finally she thinks of something that will scare Harry - a kiss.
This is a picture book with limited story line. The book is funny and appeals to all ages. The illustrations are colorful and delightful. Truly, they are what make the book wonderful. The punch line is fun. The reading is fast paced and keeps the reader wanting to find out what happens. Mary McScary is a great book for preschool-aged children.
