A little kitten wants someone to play. After being rejected, he gets frustrated and throws a tantrum while stomping around the house. After his time-out, he apologizes and helps pick up the mess he made. Instead of trying to get people to play with him, he helps them with what they're doing. When everyone is finished they all play together!
This is a very sweet book. The only dialogue is 'meowing' with varied text size, color, and punctuation. The message it shares is surprisingly developed for a picture book. If one wants to spend time with someone, one shouldn't try to get them to stop what they're doing, but should offer to do it with them. What a great lesson to teach children! The illustrations are just wonderful. While they're digitally created, they have a soft appearance with a nice brush texture. Very well done!
