It’s summer, and just like any great group of friends, Minnie and each of her friends are ready to have some fun! The only problem is that they all have different opinions on what they want to do that day. Mickey wants to swim, Goofy wants to fish, Daisy wants to swing, Pluto wants to dig, Donald wants to go on a hike, and Minnie wants to take pictures. Minnie decides that Star Lake would be the best place for them to go, and with a little help from Toodles, everyone is able to do the activity they want to do and have a great day.
This book is intended for preschoolers and kindergartners and is a great option for adults to read with young children that are still learning to read. There are simple sentences and pictures that show exactly what is happening in the storyline. Along with that, this book could be used to teach children the basic problem-and-solution story structure, since each of the friends want to do a different activity and Minnie is able to find a solution that makes everyone happy. Another way this book could be used is to help children identify new words they are learning, since there is plenty of word repetition in this book. Some words that may be used for this are can, want, and to. No matter what concept this book is used to teach, it is a great option for children, and with well-known Disney characters, it’s sure to be a hit!
