Adri is growing fast and his father and mother feel that it is time to share some wisdom with their son. Adri's father tells his son that we live in a great big world where it can be easy to do what others are doing to try to fit in. He teaches his son that it is okay to be different. We each have our own gifts and abilities that allow us to contribute to the world. Their words are comforting and provide counsel and direction to their son.

The illustrations in this book are just as impactful as the text. The pages are vibrant and unique. They convey the message that everyone is different and special. Kranz's painted "rockfish" each have their own unique design and colors, showing the reader that it is important to be different from everyone else because there is “only one you” in this world. This is a message that the reader can relate to because we all struggle with accepting that because we are all unique beings and we can make the world a better place.
