Pete loves to dance but, apparently, he is doing it all wrong! After deciding not give up on dancing, he asks his friends how they dance and groove. They teach Pete, but each time, Pete makes a mistake and they tell him that’s not how you dance. Pete feels discouraged, but he never gives up. He meets a wise owl who helps him understand that he doesn’t need to do someone else's dance; he just needs to be himself. Pete then feels so happy because he can dance!
This book is so fun! It teaches a good lesson in never giving up and that it’s okay to make mistakes. Each time he makes a mistake he becomes sad, but then he always decides to give it one more chance. The illustrations in the book are so colorful and fun and will keep any reader engaged as they read. This book can be used to teach children to never give up and that the most important thing is to be themselves. This book is for preschool and primary aged children. Overall this book has great morals, rhymes, and a happy beat!
