It’s year three at the Jedi Academy for Victor Starspeeder, and things are not going according to plan. The new security droid turned principal ZC-04 seems like he’s out to ruin all the fun with his strict rules and protocols. Victor juggles his courses and the school play, all while trying to loosen the school from the ZC-04’s tyrannical grip. He senses that something is wrong, and with the help of his friends and the guidance of Master Yoda, he risks it all in an attempt to save the school.
This book is a must-read! The formatting is exceptionally creative and fresh; it switches between Victor’s journal entries, school newspaper clippings, comic book style scenes, and even Stargram social media posts. This really brings the reader into the world of the characters in a variety of ways. The story line is engaging, and relatable to students trying to juggle all their responsibilities. Star Wars fans will get an extra kick out of the book; while Yoda is the only character featured in any of the movies, there are references and nods for fans to notice and enjoy. True fan or not, this book teaches great lessons of friendship and standing up for what’s right with plenty of suspense, plot twists, and even a little romance along the way!
