Tessa wakes up before her family. She imagines that she flies out of her crib and jumps, reads, and plays while her family sleeps. She sees her dog and her big sister. Her dad comes in and gets her out. They do all of the things she imagined: jumping, reading, playing. Tessa loves spending time with her family, but she wears them out!
The content of this book is one that would be geared toward infants or very small toddlers. It is one that you would expect to see on a board book, rather than a nice hardback with dust jacket. However, the length and illustrations seem to be targeting preschool-aged children. A preschooler probably wouldn't enjoy reading it, though, because it is about a baby. Therefore, the audience is not clear. An infant wouldn't be interested in the length or dull colors. Overall, it is a cute story but one that may not be appreciated by the intended age group.
