This holiday season, Clayton is determined to find the biggest Christmas tree ever. Desmond also makes up his mind to do the same. These two mice each embark on their own journey to find the perfect tree, but neither is successful upon searching the local Christmas tree farm. During a second trip to the farm, they bump into one another and decide to join forces. Together, they find the biggest Christmas tree! With the help of friends and family, they are able to cut it down, transport it back, and fill it with beautiful decorations.
This festive book provides more than just a short story about teamwork. There are question bubbles throughout the book that prompt discussion and activities at the end that creatively tie in to the story. The discussion prompts and fun activities are designed to help young children with problem solving, reading comprehension, social development, pre-reading skills, and memory strength. Clayton and Desmond’s adventure brings the Christmas spirit to reading time as well as to playtime.
