Tin is a robot who has been asked to look after his little sister, Nickel, for the afternoon. Tin reads his comic book, hoping that little Nickel will take care of herself. Suddenly, Nickel is half-way up a tree trying to fetch a balloon. Nickel retrieves the balloon, but floats up into the sky with it! Tin rides his bike all through town trying to follow her. He finally finds her and gets her a new balloon. They arrive home just before Tin’s mom gets home and she gives Tin a treat for doing such a great job babysitting. Little does she know . . .
Tin is a fun picture book by Christ Judge, the award-winning creator of The Lonely Beast. Each of the characters have creative robot names that will make readers smile. The illustrations are made with basic shapes and are very colorful, easily engaging younger readers. Some pages are very busy with lots of things for children to notice and explore. This would be a fun book for parents and children to navigate together.
