Mr. Davis's class is doing a weather project. They observe and record the weather to look for patterns. A meteorologist visits the class and teaches them about air pressure, hurricanes, and tools she uses to predict the weather.
This is a great book for introducing kids to the science of weather. They can duplicate the experiments illustrated in the book because they're simple and don't require special equipment. There are some big words, like meteorologist and barometer, but they are all followed by a child-friendly definition. This book is a great way to help kids get excited about science and understand that weather isn't random.
