When a child is born they bring with them a unique set of gifts and talent – their own set of bells and whistles. As they grow up, they must find the bells that they ring best. They must discover who they are and what talents they have to share with the world. Be brave and ring those bells loud and proud, for you are all kinds of wonderful.
This book is a sweet, empowering story reminding children that they are equipped with a unique set of talents that will bring joy to them and those around them. If they don’t know what those talents are, it’s up to them to try things out and discover who they are. The illustrations complement the message of the book, depicting children with all sorts of talents. The detailed paintings are very well done and portray realistic humans and animals, though the composition of the artwork often brings out a laugh as most animals don’t do the things shown in the book. Typical of Nancy Tillman literature, this book is very cute and inspiring, reminding each child that they are wonderful and loved.
