Count up to ten, count down again! Ten witches share an adventure as they fly scrunched together on a single broom. Too many witches on one broom, each witch tumbles and falls one by one into the gloom and doom. One falls into the sea, another lands next to a surprised Yeti and the mishaps continue to the end.
The writing in this book is a clever little poem that utilizes rhyme to help children learn their numbers forward and backward. The illustrations of the witches are quirky and clever and evoke a smile as the witches land in unexpected ways. Each illustration includes many things (like bats, ghosts, and pumpkins to name a few) on each page that children will enjoy finding and counting out loud. The Halloween theme is a fun twist if somewhat seasonal.
